Six-day creation is an important pillar of Biblical worldview. Of course, the importance of an assertion does not make it true, and the importance of six-day creation should not be used as an evidence of its truth, but by understanding how central six-day creation is in God’s revelation, we can recognize that when we see six-day creation asserted in the text, are pivotal and not lightly presented. If we are inconsistent in how we handle the Biblical text, we may arrive at the conclusion that six-day creation in’t historically accurate, but then we have to deal with other questions and implications. On the other hand, if we take the assertions at face value, applying the normative, literal grammatical historical hermeneutic, then we cannot escape the assertion that indeed God created in six days. From that interpretation, we see many key aspects of Biblical worldview grounded and affirmed. This presentation helps identify some of those aspects.
